National Groundwater Information System (NGIS) is a portfolio of projects designed to meet increasing demands for groundwater information in a rapidly changing water business environment. The portfolio of the NGIS project includes several applications, namely NGA, CHART and the Geohydrological Reports System.

The book is a comprehensive overview of well systems ideal for everyone working in the groundwater field. It is designed to be a valuable resource for well designers, contractors, engineers, water managers, and hydrogeologists.

This process is known as a Root Cause Analysis.
